The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is calling all gardeners, naturalists and curious souls to learn about one of the more populous and overlooked systems in the Healthy Living Soils Public Program. “Did you know that a tablespoon of healthy soil contains more organisms than there are people living on Earth?” said park interpreter Genevieve Mathieu. “Join us at the Food Forest behind the Health Unit to explore the richness of life in healthy soil. We will talk about strategies to successfully build healthy soils and the benefits of supporting the plethora of organisms that call soil home.” While this program is free to attend, registration is required. Those interested can call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225 for more information or to register. The program will take place June 15 from 1-2 p.m. at the Food Forest behind the Health Unit at 2948 Dunmore Rd. Those who are arriving by vehicle are asked to park in the parking lot behind Taco Time. 5
