The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is calling residents out for a trot along the river in their latest program offering. The River Topography Trot is a guided nature walk, focused on the power of Canada’s fourth longest waterway. Participants will learn about its influence on the landscape and ecosystem, how the South Saskatchewan River has evolved in the past and how it will continue to shape the future of the city, all while out and enjoying the summer weather. This free public program requires no registration, merely for residents to make their way down to the Nature Centre on June 14 for a walk that starts at 10:30 a.m. For more information about this or any of other MHIP programs, contact the centre through the Nature Line at 403-529-6225, visit their website at natureline.info. 5
