Single-vehicle collision A male biker was transported to Brooks Hospital after sustaining an ankle injury after rolling his motorcycle on the Trans-Canada near Highway 36 last Friday. Police say a preliminary investigation suggests speed, weather and road conditions may have contributed to the rollover. City peace officers along with Brooks firefighters were on scene to assist with traffic control and cleanup. Perfume theft An investigation remains ongoing after three individuals were caught stealing more than $1,100 worth of fragrances from Shoppers Drug Mart in Brooks on May 23. Police say store staff reported one male with several fragrances near the rear end of the store looking for a washroom. An employee took the fragrances from the male and he left the premises immediately. However, upon reviewing surveillance footage, staff witnessed the male suspect was accompanied by two females upon entering the store and the footage revealed that the two females were placing perfume into a large tote bag that was stolen. The male suspect left behind a hat and jacket that have been seized by police as evidence. 15
