Police say the total damage following a truck that collided with a garage is estimated to exceed more than $75,000, however no serious injuries were reported from the incident Tuesday night.
Medicine Hat police responded to a report for a truck colliding with a residence on the 600 block of Prospect Drive, and determined the truck drove into the door of an attached garage, travelling through the door and striking a parked vehicle inside.
Police say no one was injured in the collision, however a 32-year-old man from Medicine Hat was taken to the hospital for a precautionary examination.
No reports of expected charges were released by police.
Highway check stop
Brooks RCMP issued two sanctions to impaired drivers during roadside check stops held throughout the Victoria Day long weekend.
On Sunday, RCMP teamed up with the Alberta Sheriffs to conduct 250 check stops on Young Road and Highway 873.
Along with two impaired drivers, RCMP also issued a handful of violation tickets for traffic offences.
Bar fight
No injuries were reported following a large fight outside the Blue Nile Shisha Bar in Brooks in the early morning hours of May 18.
Officers were called to the bar just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning to break up the fight, and report all parties fled the area upon arrival.
