@MedicineHatNews Finalized results for the 45th Federal Election have been released by Elections Canada. Voters in the Medicine Hat-Carston-Warner constituency re-elected Conservative candidate Glen Motz with 41,518 votes, or 76.7 per cent of the ballots cast. Tom Rooke, Liberal, placed second with 9,554 votes (17.1 per cent), followed by Jocelyn Johnson, New Democrat, at 2,588 (4.8 per cent) and Andy Shadrach, Green Party, at 440 (0.8 per cent). A total of 54,100 votes were counted and 339 considered spoiled, making for a grand total of 54,439, resulting in a turnout of 68.4 per cent. There are 79,563 eligible voters in the riding that has a total population of 103,819. The results were validated on May 3. 8
