asmith@medicinehatnews.com The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is inviting residents out to experience the natural beauty of Red Rock Coulee. “The Red Rock Coulee Natural Area is an historic and modern-day wonder. Join an interpreter as we discuss the unique creatures and features of this natural area over time,” said park interpreter Erika Derman. “We will be discussing how the protection of this area allows for development of native plant communities and provides habitats for endangered species like the Greater Short Horned Lizard.” Registration is required for this program, as it will not occur with fewer than five participants, but there is no cost associated. Those participating will meet at the Red Rock Coulee sign in the parking lot on May 24 at 1 p.m. and will depart promptly for the walk at 1:10 p.m. Those interested can call 403-529-6225 or visit the Nature Centre to register. 7
