newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com Brooks RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect allegedly involved in a fight at a home in the area of Meadowlake that occurred Tuesday morning. Police responded to a disturbance at the residence at 9 a.m. and discovered two men who are known to each other, got into an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the fight, one of the men struck the other man in the face, causing significant injuries and sent to hospital for treatment. Although police conducted an extensive search for the other man involved in the brawl who fled the scene before police arrived, he was not located. The suspect however, has been identified and a warrant is currently being sought. The victim was treated for his injuries and released from hospital. Officers say there is no risk to the public. Two-vehicle collision A driver has been issued a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign following an two-vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday afternoon on College Drive and Meadowbrook Drive in Brooks. RCMP were called to the scene around 4 p.m. and determined that a vehicle travelling on Meadowbrook Drive failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an eastbound vehicle. No serious injuries were reported, however the driver of the vehicle was found to be operating under a Class 7 licence without proper supervision and was issued a ticket. Additionally, the passenger of the vehicle was issued a ticket for supervising a learner without a valid licence. 13
