This Saturday bargain hunters will be able to explore deals on a variety of items during the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede’s “Another Man’s Treasure” indoor garage sale.
This year’s large indoor garage sale will feature more than 120 tables of items including tools, clothing, books, toys, furniture and other household items, as well as antiques and collectibles from more than 35 sellers.
The all-day free event offers deal seekers a convenient one-stop spot to browse goods.
“All kinds of bargains. It’s that time of the year again where you want to get out to go look for bargains at yard sales,” said event organizer Doreen Gunderson.
Typically shoppers can find artwork, jewelry, appliances, kitchenware, vinyl records, outdoor camping gear, bicycles, as well as sports and exercise equipment.
Gunderson explains the need for the indoor garage sale came from seniors living in condos and residents who live in apartment buildings and are unable to host their own yard sales, and typically includes hidden treasures sought out by buyers.
“How do you get rid of stuff when you’re spring cleaning? How do you get rid of things you no longer want,” says Gunderson. “We give them the space to sell, or their family to sell, so there’s anything and everything here.”
Additionally the indoor sale provides both sellers and buyers a safe location to complete transactions without worrying about potential issues like theft.
Gunderson says there is limited space available for new vendors, however she will “try to squeeze people in if they’re wanting to get a last-minute table,” and says to call her at 403-527-1234.
Admission to Saturday’s Indoor Garage sale is free and runs inside the Cypress Centre from 8 a.m to 4 p.m.
