Medicine Hat Tigers fans have a new way to excited for the playoffs. Ahead of Game 1 and 2 Friday and Saturday at Co-op Place, the arena will host an all-ages licensed patio party to tee up the third-round series with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The patio party gets underway at 5 p.m. and runs until the start of the second period, or while quantities last. Friday’s patio party ahead of Game 1 will feature live music with Thirteenth Avenue Quartet from 5-7 p.m. They will also serve braised short rib on a garlic butter baguette, grilled corn on the cob and beef chilli, as well as Stolen Rail Beer. Saturday’s party has no scheduled music as of press but will see a menu of slow roast Alberta AAA prime rib on a Co-op bakery bun with grilled corn on the cob and beef chilli, as well as Stolen Rail Beer. Access is direct to the patio until Co-op Place doors open for the game where it will be accessed from the Molson Lounge. There will be no smoking at the patio party. Co-op Place Express runs again For the third playoff round in a row, the city will offer express transit from Medicine Hat Mall to Co-op Place for Tigers’ home playoff games. For $5 round trip, the bus leaves the Mall at approximately 6:15 p.m. and provides a direct, express route to Co-op Place. Following the game, those fans can return to the drop-off point and hop back on the express route to be transported back to the mall. Tickets for the Co-op Place express can be purchased online, via the transit app or on the bus. 11
