newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The Mustard Seed has reported it has begun operating its mobile service to serve vulnerable members of the community through an outreach breakfast program. The “Seed Impact program” kicked off last week by serving more than 80 bagged breakfasts to people in need from April 14-17. The service renews the Mustard Seed’s commitment to serving Medicine Hat after its Community Impact Centre on Allowance Avenue was forced to cease operation in February. “We’re so grateful for everyone’s support as we’ve undertaken this transition,” reads a statement from the Mustard Seed. The Mustard Seed was also approved to operate a “Ghost Kitchen” at 503A Allowance Ave., for a 90-day period following a city decision to allow ongoing meal services until the charity can find a permanent solution. Mustard Seed says it is still in need of bottled water donations. Information on changes on how to donate to the Mustard Seed can be found online at the theseed.ca/medicinehat. 9
