Large numbers of Hatters took advantage of early voting as advance polls opened Friday morning in the 45th General Election.
General voting takes place Monday, April 28, but any voter in the Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner electoral district can cast a ballot through the weekend and Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at locations.
Candidates in the riding are (in alphabetical order): Jocelyn Johnson (New Democrat), Glen Motz (Conservative), Tom Rooke (Liberal) and Andy Shadrack (Green).
Voters can also cast their vote by special ballot at any Elections Canada office until 6 p.m. on Tuesday April 22. That is also the deadline to request a mail-in ballot.
Citizens should refer to their voter identification cards that were mailed for specific polling station and voter identification requirements.
