asmith@medicinehatnews.com On April 12, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program invites those who sport a love of spiders to come out and enjoy the launch party for its Spider Display. “If you have ever wondered about the vast world of spiders and their day-to-day life, this is the display for you! Explore while we dive into topics like what makes spiders important, what truly defines a spider, what other amazing uses they have for their webs and much more,” said park interpreter Rhys Mah Poy. While the program assures that those who are not spider enthusiasts will have plenty to enjoy, including light refreshments at the party, they do warn that the display will feature several close-up photos of spiders, so those with a phobia should approach with care. This is a free public program and registration is not required. For those unable to make it to the launch from 2-3 p.m., the display will be up for viewing until June 1. 6
