newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The final phase of construction on the Division Avenue S. rehabilitation project is set to resume Monday with the anticipation of all construction completed by late June. Construction will affect traffic from Seventh to 10th streets along Division Avenue. Work includes a rehabilitation of the asphalt surface, curbs and gutters. The work at the intersection at 10th Street also includes the installation of storm sewer infrastructure. During construction both the roads and walkways in the affected zone will be fully closed. Local traffic will be permitted to access businesses in the area from the 11th Street SE intersection. One bus route will also be impacted by the roadwork. The city says service along Route 21 will be offline throughout construction. Bus stop C084 at the corner of Division Avenue and 10 Street SW will be closed. However, users will be able to access stop C083 as an alternative. Multi-use trails in the affected construction zones will also be closed to upgrade and instal multi-use trail infrastructure. Trails that continue down Old Cemetery Road Hill up to the three-way stop at College Avenue and Kipling Street will also undergo upgrades once the work on Division Avenue has been completed. These upgrades will not affect road traffic. 9
