asmith@medicinehatnews.com The Ridin’ For Kids Foundation has announced the child that will be benefiting from their 2025 fundraiser event. Nine-year-old Nyah Litowsky has been diagnosed with multiple rare autoimmune diseases, including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, juvenile dermatomyositis and interstitial lung disease. She also has bone complications, including spinal fractures. “Despite daily pain, fatigue and countless medical treatments, Myah continues to inspire everyone around her with her bright smile, fierce spirit and positive outlook,” said Ridin’ For Kids. Funds raised will benefit Litowsky and her family directly, covering medical costs, travel expenses to Calgary Children’s Hospital and treatments not covered by insurance. The fundraiser ride will take place on Father’s Day Weekend on June 14, and will include a group ride, various events by donation, and a live and silent auction, beginning at the Irvine Hotel at 9 a.m. Those looking to donate, be it cash or auction, are encouraged to transfer directly to or contact ridinforkids@gmail.com. 8
