Medicine Hat Tigers fans have shown up and showed out with playoffs on the horizon.

The Tigers faithful sold-out Co-op Place on Saturday with 6,246 fans walking through the gates ahead of a 10-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. It’s the largest crowd Co-op Place has seen for a Tigers game since March 11, 2023 when 6,467 filled the rink.

Tickets for the Tigers’ first-round series with the Swift Current Broncos went on sale Monday, with tickets available for Game 1 Friday and Game 2 Saturday, both at Co-op Place. Season ticket holders have until Wednesday at 5 p.m. to secure their seats before all seats are available for the general public.

Tixx.ca and Moneris, the payment website, faced heavy traffic Monday as fans raced to get in the building for the opening games.

Those planning on attending Tigers’ home games in the first round can avoid traffic on the roads as the City announced Monday they will offer the Co-op Place Express service, shuttling fans to the rink.

For $5 round trip, fans can be picked up at the Medicine Hat Mall at approximately 6 p.m. and driven to Co-op Place for the game and back to the mall following the contest. Those tickets can be purchased on Tixx.ca, with cash on the bus or using MHTgo! cards or monthly bus passes.
