One man arrested after RCMP seize rifle and stolen stolen electric bicycle

A 29-year-old man has been charged with firearms offences after Brooks RCMP executed a search warrant on a home and seized a .22 rifle along with a stolen e-bicycle.

Officers conducted the search of the home Tuesday afternoon and say the stolen e-bicycle was later located abandoned in an alley.

The man cannot be identified until his charges are officially sworn into the court. He is expected to appear before court April 30.

Stolen vehicles

On Wednesday Brooks RCMP say they discovered a stolen vehicle that was reported stolen March 8 after the owner left the car running while inside the FasGas.

Officers discovered the 2003 Green Volkswagen Passat unoccupied and with no damages abandoned along a canal road.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
