French fete next weekend

A local parents group supporting French education in Medicine Hat will hold its annual fundraiser and celebration next weekend at a local high school.

Cabane a Sucre, or ‘Sugar Shack,” will features a traditional ham meal at lunch completed with maple syrup treats at Crescent Heights High School on March 15.

Live music and other activities promoting French Canadian culture will be featured during the 11 a.m to 1 p.m. event.

It is a biannual fundraising and promotional event put on by the Medicine Hat chapter of “Canadian Parents for French.”

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite website until March 9. Tickets will not be available at the door.
