70th Annual Rotary Music Festival begins Sunday

The Medicine Hat Rotary Music Festival begins on Sunday, marking the start of two weeks of the best performing arts the city has to offer.

This year marks the music festival’s 70th edition featuring musicians from Medicine Hat and rural communities within 100 kilometres of the city.

Opening Sunday with vocal performances at St. Barnabas Church, starting at 1 p.m. On Monday, vocal performances continue at St. Barnabes from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m.. Monday also features speeches at the Black Box, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m.

With a full roster of qualified adjudicators to score and help guide the aspiring artists, the Rotary Festival is ready to celebrate the artistic spirit of Medicine Hat.
