Pair arrested for weekend business break-and-enter

A man and woman from Medicine Hat have been charged with break, enter and theft after police witnessed the suspicious duo near a business in the 700 block on 16th Street SW on Saturday night, and found them in possession of stolen property.

Police say a service patrol unit was conducting property checks when they observed the two suspects near a business that was insecure on Feb 15.

Further investigation revealed that the two suspects were in possession of stolen property from that business. Both suspects were arrested and all stolen property was returned to the business owner.

The two suspects, a 43-year-old Medicine Hat man and a 29-year-old Medicine Hat woman, are scheduled to appear in court on March 11.
