Starting at the end of the long weekend, the City of Medicine Hat will be begin nighttime snow removal operations.
Beginning Monday night, crews will start in Crescent Heights, working through the night. The roads cleared include, but may not be limited to, 20th Street NE, 12th Street NE, 12th Street NW, Eighth Street NE and Division Avenue N.
Snow will be windrowed, loaded into trucks and deposited at one of the city’s snow disposal sites.
Snow removal operations require no on-street parking, says the city. This allows crews to remove snow from city roads efficiently and effectively. Staff will place no-parking signage in advance of this work.
The work is expected to last the remainder of the week, should the weather permit, and if needed, may continue in other parts of the city in the following week.
