Brier Park Road Hill to close for ice build-up removal

City crews will temporarily close a section of Brier Park Road Hill to remove ice build-up.

Starting today, Brier Park Road Hill will be closed from between Third Street NW and 12 Street NW as crews look to remove the ice that has built up on the street. The intersections of each roadway will remain open to traffic.

The work is anticipated to last the remainder of the week, with daily closures in effect from 8 a.m. until approximately 3:30 p.m. A city release says drivers will be detoured to Saamis Drive NW and Altawana Drive NE during this closure.

Those who travel on icy sections of road that require removal can submit a ticket on the city’s ‘report a problem’ portal found on their website.
