asmith@medicinehatnews.com The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is looking to help residents get to know their most notable neighbours with their upcoming Deer Walk. This nature walk will, “dive into the fascinating world of our local deer,” said Rhys Mah Poy, park interpreter. “We’ll uncover what truly makes a deer a deer, and whether you’re a deer expert or just curious, you’re sure to learn something new.” The walk will take place in Police Point Park on Feb. 5 starting at 2 p.m, and no registration is required to participate. As it is winter, residents are asked to dress appropriately for the weather as they learn deer facts such as what they like to munch on, as well as tips for distinguishing different species, and more. 6
