Nominations open for Alberta Order of Excellence

Nominations have opened for the province’s highest honour.

The Albert government is accepting nominations for the Alberta Order of Excellence, recognizing citizens who have made a significant and lasting contribution to their communities.

The Alberta Order of Excellence was created in 1979, with 220 Albertans having been invest into the Order, the first investiture in 1981.

Nominations are accepted year-round, but must be received by Feb. 15 to be considered for investiture in 2025.

All nominees must be Canadians citizens who reside in Alberta and, if selected, must be able to attend the investiture ceremony. People cannot nominate themselves, their spouse or a member of their immediate family.
