Medicine Hat Catholic schools hosting open houses starting this month

The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education has released the schedule for its nine school open house and tour events that are planned to run throughout this month as well as February.

Parents, guardians and families will be able to tour the school, explore the hallways and meet staff before registration for the 2025-26 school year begins.

The tours will also provide more information on programs offered through the division, including MHCBE academies and special programs, French immersion options, early learning programs, as well as day childcare and out of school care.

On Jan. 23, St. Mary’s School is hosting an open house from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and St. Francis Xavier School’s open house will run throughout the day, starting at 9:30 a.m and closing at 3:30 p.m.

Ecole St. John Paul II School will host a morning assembly followed by a school tour from 9:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 27. That evening from 6-8 p.m. Notre Dame Academy will also welcome visitors.

St. Michael’s School will host its open house throughout the day on Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The following day on Jan. 30, St. Patrick’s School will host two separate presentations in the gymnasium. Parents and families are welcome from 9:30-10 a.m., or in the evening from 7-8 p.m.

An open house and school tour for Monsignor McCoy High School has yet to be determined.
