On the latest nature walk offering by the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program, residents can learn all the nuances to the pointiest parts of native feathered friends.

“Beak Talk” is a free event which requires no registration, set for 2 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the Nature Centre. Participants will have a great time exploring bird beaks and bills, and learn about how the various forms a beak can take helps the bird they’re attached to.

“Join us at the Nature Centre in Police Point Park to explore the fascinating world of bird beaks and bills. Ever wondered why they’re shaped the way they are? Come and discover it for yourself,” says park interpreter Rhys Mah Poy.

As this is a nature walk, attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather.
