newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The Medicine Hat Public School Division is getting set to host its annual MHPSD expo later this month that will allow families to discover every educational opportunity it offers, including academies as well as student and First Nations, Métis and Inuit supports. The expo will be split into two days. Parents and guardians interested in schools on the south side of the city are invited to attend an exhibition at Medicine Hat High School on Jan. 15. The following day a similar exhibition will be held on the north side at Crescent Heights High School. Throughout the exhibition the division will display projects, artwork and achievements from its students and allow parents and guardians to engage in hands-on activities, as well as demonstrations that spotlight various programs and extracurricular activities available to students. Educators and staff members will be on hand to answer questions as well as representatives from division academics, early learning, English as an additional language and more. “Parents and caregivers will gain a deeper understanding of the limitless educational opportunities we offer and discover how your child can thrive within MHPSD,” states a media release. The south-side exhibition on Jan. 15 begins at 6 p.m. at Medicine Hat High School, followed by the north-side exhibition on Jan. 16, also at 6 p.m., at Crescent Heights School. Both are expected to run for an hour and a half. A full list of both south- and north-side schools can be found on the MHPSD website under the ‘Division News’ tab. 9
