Firefighters reminds motorists to avoid hose lines

Medicine Hat Fire Services is asking drivers not to drive over their hose lines while members are working at an emergency scene, posting the reminder to its Facebook page on Thursday.

“Please do not drive over our hose lines,” states the online post that explains motorists can damage and cut off water supply during a fire that can then put the lives of first responders and victims at risk.

“If you need to get through, please ask a firefighter for help. We appreciate your patience – safety always comes first in emergencies.”
