The German Canadian Harmony Club is inviting the community to enjoy the balloons drop as the clock strikes midnight this New Year’s Eve, during its annual dinner and dance held at the German-Canadian Harmony Hall.
The celebration will include a full roast-beef dinner prepared by JF Catering and an evening of live music by the Willow Creek Band, which plays a variety of music from classic rock, southern rock, blues and country.
“They draw a large crowd, a good dancing band,” says Sharon Frank, president of the German-Canadian Harmony Club, who emphasized the fun atmosphere at the annual New Year’s Eve celebration.
“The club invites everyone from the city and surrounding area to join us for a fun-filled evening of food, dancing and a good time.”
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is planned for 6:30 p.m. The dance floor and live music is open from 8 p.m. to midnight when the balloons drop.
Tickets can be purchased for $50 at Laurie Anna’s Fashion Boutique in the South Country Co-op 13th Avenue Food Centre, or by calling Buck Smith at 825-903-8979.
