Smith, Wright among speakers at Brooks’ State of the Region breakfast on Jan. 3

@MedicineHatNews The Brooks area “State of the Region” breakfast is set to take place on Jan. 3, with political leaders from the area set to address a crowd at that city’s Heritage Inn. Mayor John Petrie, Newell County Reeve Arno Doerksen, along with southeast Alberta’s two MLAs. Cypress-Medicine Hat’s Justin Wright and Premier Danielle Smith, of Brooks-Medicine Hat, are scheduled to discuss issues of 2024 and look ahead to the coming year. Registration to attend is required by Dec. 27. A similar event was held in Medicine Hat wth respective elected officials in late October. The annual Medicine Hat Mayor’s “State of the City” luncheon is typically held in late January. 7-6
