asmith@medicinehatnews.com The Mustard Seed is keeping strong in its holiday traditions this year, working hard to spread cheer and hope to those in need. Individuals and families facing homelessness or hardship are invited Christmas Eve to enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner, served with care and compassion, the Mustard Seed says. “Christmas is a time for joy and togetherness, but for many of our neighbours, it can also bring hardship and heartache. At the Mustard Seed, we’re deeply thankful for the communities we serve, whose generosity and kindness always inspire us. This Christmas, let’s come together to ensure that everyone in our city has something to celebrate,” said David Conrad, senior director of community engagement. On Dec 24 at 11:30 a.m, the Community Impact Centre will provide a special holiday meal and programming for clients and guests. The festive initiatives are designed to spread joy, provide essential resources, and create a sense of community during the Holiday Season. The Mustard Seed adds that these programs are open to the public, and encourages members of the community to come by the Community Impact Centre and spend time with their “most vulnerable neighbours” this Christmas season. Those interested in lending a hand this Holiday Season can also make a difference by donating or volunteering. 8
