@MedicineHatNews A Cypress County man with a history of weapons offences has again been charged with knowingly possessing firearms despite a court-ordered ban. Denver Ryan Ailsby, 45, was charged by Redcliff RCMP with nine weapons-related charges this fall and was scheduled to make a first appearance in Alberta Court of Justice at Medicine Hat on Monday. He did not appear, leading the court to issue an unendorsed warrant. Ailsby is subject to a court-ordered lifetime prohibition on owning firearms. He currently faces two indictable charges of knowingly possessing a firearm without being authorized to do so, and knowingly possessing a restricted weapon. He also faces two charges of careless use of a firearm, and single counts of possessing a dangerous weapon, possessing a weapon with an altered serial number, possessing a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with release conditions. 8
