The raffle has raised more than $800,000 in school projects over the past years that include supporting the River Heights School outdoor classroom, renovations at Crestwood STEM School library and the playground at Dr. Ken Sauer School. There are eight days left to purchase tickets online. Tickets are priced by package, beginning with a single ticket for $5. You can also purchase five tickets for $20, or 100 tickets for $100. Tickets can be purchased through the division’s Facebook page or by visiting rafflebox.ca/mhpsef. Nominations open for annual Prime Minister’s Awards The Medicine Hat Public School Division is asking students, parents and fellow teachers to nominate an educator for the 2025 Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence and Teaching Excellence in STEM and the Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood Education. These awards recognize exceptional teachers in elementary and secondary schools, in all disciplines, since 1994 and have honoured more than 1,800 teachers so far in the excellence in STEM award, and 300 teachers have been recognized since 2002 for the early childhood award. The Teaching Excellence in STEM Awards celebrates outstanding science, technology, engineering and mathematics teachers who help develop innovation. The Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education honours educators for their leadership, exemplary early childhood education practices and commitment to helping children build a successful foundation. Recipients receive a certificate from the prime minister and national recognition for their contribution to teaching excellence.
