@MedicineHatNews A Medicine Hat man who was found mentally fit to stand trial trial this week on charges of attempting to kill police officers during a standoff this summer may now be evaluated to see if he could be potentially held criminally responsible. Court of Justice at Medicine Hat heard that Cole Scory, 30, had been held on an emergency mental health order after a July 27 incident in the city. On Tuesday, court heard that doctors believe he has the capacity to take part as four charges of attempted murder are brought against him. On Wednesday however, court heard that same report recommends another assessment take place to determine if the man could be held criminally responsible for his actions during the standoff with police at an apartment complex in the city’s southwest. 5
