Several works from Banff film festival to be screened in Medicine Hat

In a partnership with the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre, Medicine Hat residents will be able to enjoy a screening of the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour.

The tour, which has been ongoing since 1986, brings with it a collection of films that feature a range of styles and themes, including climbing, skiing, kayaking, biking, adventure, culture and the environment. This facet of the festival aims to bring mountain films to thousands of people who cannot make the annual trek to the Canadian Rockies.

Those attending the screening can expect approximately six to eight films, the Banff Centre says on its website.

Screenings will be held at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre Jan. 12-14, and tickets for the event will be on sale starting Friday.
