The Medicine Hat Public Library is hosting its second annual Local Authors Meet and Greet, which allows residents to see the vast talent that can come from their own city.

Each of the five authors attending the event, which goes Saturday beginning at 2 p.m., lives or has previously lived in Medicine Hat, and is eager to connect with their own neighbours about their work.

For Olivia M. Geib, author of teen fantasy novels “The Daughter of Fire & Fury” and “The Princess of Secrets & Shadows,” looks forward to speaking to everyone about the process of becoming a writer.

“I love any opportunity to meet my readers and interact with my community. Especially when I get to talk about my favourite subject – books,” said Geib.

Also attending are authors Ben Coxson, Frank Krulicki, Pam Roberston Rivet and Cody Wheeler.

The authors will each give a short talk sharing their writing journey, and then afterward, people will be able to chat with the authors one on one and have the opportunity to purchase their books.

A brief bio of each author is available on the MHPL blog.
