Bad debt report for Redcliff shows $1,354 as uncollectable

The value of uncollected utility bills in Redcliff has dropped for the fourth straight year, that town’s council heard Tuesday night.

Administrators presented the 2024 bad debt report from water, sewer and solid waste collection accounts provided by the town, requesting that $1,354 be written-off as uncollectable.

Five accounts on the current list have been in arrears for more than one year and would be forwarded to a collection agency.

That total is down from $2,516 in 2023, $2,894 in 2022 and a recent high of $7,949 in 2021.
