Holy Trinity Academy, a new K-9 Catholic school on schedule to begin construction next spring, moved into the tender phase and will be seeking a contractor for the project.
A contract will be awarded after the province evaluates all bids that have been submitted, and the name of the successful contractors will be announced following the contract award. The process is expected to take around three months.
“This milestone marks significant progress towards building a school that will provide a nurturing and dynamic environment for students from early learning through Grade 9,” states a release from the division.
Following tendering, shovels will be in the ground next year, and the division expects the construction process will take 22 months and the new school will be complete by 2027.
Holy Trinity will feature a 380-seat performing arts theatre, two-full sized gymnasiums and will include specialized classrooms for music, arts, foods, dance, woodworking and science classes.
The new educational space is designed to improve programming offered to other students within the division, including those attending neighbouring Monsignor McCoy High School.
