Fox Valley, Sask. sees all council positions acclaimed

All positions on Fox Valley village council were acclaimed during nominations earlier this month, meaning there will be no election this month in the centre located 125 kilometres northeast of Medicine Hat.

Sean Checkley will serve another term as mayor after his was the only name submitted for nomination on Oct. 9. Four councillor positions were acclaimed by Daniel Bueckert, Tyson Dirk, Brendan Eresman and Lindsay Schneider.

Saskatchewan residents are set to vote for elected officials in all urban municipalities and odd-numbered districts in rural municipalities on Nov. 13 in the province

In the RM of Fox Valley, No. 171, council positions in Divisions Nos. 1, 3 and 5, were acclaimed by Jenna Lerner, Robert Folk and Dwayne Schneider, respectively.

Kelly Bakanec was acclaimed as reeve.
