Smith and Wright holding town hall gathering in Brooks tonight

After touring Medicine Hat with economic developers and holding a local town hall this week, Premier Danielle Smith will hold another town hall meeting tonight in Brooks.

The Friday night event begins at 6 p.m. at the Heritage Inn.

It follows a joint MLA town hall held Wednesday in Medicine Hat with Smith (Brooks-Medicine Hat) and Justin Wright (Cypress-Medicine Hat).

The United Conservative Party announced Thursday that more than 5,400 party members have registered early to take part in its annual general meeting on Nov. 1 and 2 in Red Deer.

A half-priced $199 early bird ticket deadline ended on Sept. 30, and a party release states the event at Westerner Park in Red Deer will be the largest in terms of attendance of any political party event in Canadian history.
