Around town this weekend

The final Farmer’s Market of 2024 will take place Saturday at the Medicine Hat Stampede grounds from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the grounds will also be busy with the annual Antique and Gun Show at the Cypress Centre.

The weekend collectables show begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, while closing at 6 and 4 p.m., respectively, on those days.

A look at come other events happening this weekend:

– The Medicine Hat Cowboy Poetry Association holds its annual show today at the Medicine Hat College Theatres with an noon show, a diner (pre-order required), and a showcase event beginning at 7 p.m. in the Eresman Theatre.

– The local chapter of the Canadian Ski Patrol will conclude its annual equipment swap, show and sale on Saturday at the Southridge YMCA from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

– The City of Medicine Hat is promoting resources available to groups wishing to host community events of form community associations in a number of areas of the city over the weekend. Check the city’s website or an article in this issue for more details.

– The CIBC Run for the Cure to support breast cancer research will be held Sunday morning at Kin Coulee Park, with opening ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. ahead of a 1- and 5-km run beginning at 10 a.m.
