The Saskatchewan General Election got underway on Tuesday morning ahead of a vote set to take place on Oct. 28.

A list of announced candidates and party affiliation from party websites for ridings in Southwest Saskatchewan as of Oct. 1 (official nominations will close on Oct. 12):

Cypress Hills – Clayton Cave (Green); Clare McNabb (NDP); and Doug Steele (Sask).

Swift Current – Everett Hindley (Sask); Jay Kimball (NDP), and George Watson (Green).

Kindersley-Biggar – Kim Gartner (Sask), Cindy Hoppe (NDP), Darcy Robillard (Green) and Jason Zbeeshko (Sask United).
