Hill Pool revamp begins Tuesday after outdoor facility closes for the year

The Hill Pool renewal construction will begin on Oct. 1 to fix infrastructure that has reached the end of its life cycle.

Hill Pool will be drained after the last swim on Sunday, after which crews will replace some of the water circulation parts, repair cracks, fencing and gates, as well as paint and improve lighting.

When patrons return to swim next summer, they will see and enjoy two new sun shade structures to improve the experience on deck and in the pool, a city release says.

Construction will last as long as weather permits this fall, and then resume in spring 2025, as much of the work must happen underground and the temperature plays a significant factor in working with concrete.
