Methanex has been recognized has a safe shipper by North America’s major railroads for the ninth consecutive year, recording no spills, splashes, accidents or unintended releases while loading 8,000 rail cars in North America last year.
The company with substantial manufacturing plants and terminals in Medicine Hat and Louisiana says it was the only methanol producer to earn the designation in 2023.
Officials said the ranking is a testament to workers in the company’s manufacturing and logistics units.
