The Medicine Hat Catholic School Division has opened registration for this year’s grACE Summit event that will be co-hosted by Calgary’s Catholic School Division at the end of October.

This year’s theme is “Testify! Share the Reason for Your Hope,” and will be held Oct. 25 at St. Luke’s Catholic Parish in Calgary’s northwest.

The day-long summit will emphasize “unity, dialogue, hope and renewal,” states a press release, “highlighting how these values are integral to the ongoing vitality and growth of Catholic education.”

The abbreviation grACE stands for Grateful Advocates for Catholic Education, and looks to reinforce the importance of religious beliefs within the education system.

Parishioners will be called to uphold the significance of Catholic education with fellow clergy, trustees, educators and parents and students.

“Through our collective efforts, we celebrate the rich heritage and enduring values of Catholic schools while ensuring that publicly funded Catholic education continues to thrive for generations to come.”

A registration form for the submission can be found online on the Medicine Hat Catholic School Board’s website under its “News” tab. The summit will run from 7:15 a.m to 2 p.m. and costs $75.
