Alberta Transportation has confirmed AECOM and ISL Engineering and Land Services as consulting team partners to complete the design and construction for the twinning of Highway 3 from Whitla to Medicine Hat.
As part of this process, they will be hosting a series of public information sessions both online and in person.
There will be a drop-in session Sept.10 from 4-7 p.m. at Medicine Hat College in the Big Eagle Room, and one the following day from 4-7 p.m. at the Seven Persons Community Hall.
Online public engagement will take place from Sept. 3-20, and more information on the project can be found at http://www.alberta.ca/highway-3-twinning-east-of-highway-885-whitla-to-medicine-hat. The same information will be shared at the in-person meetings.
The preliminary design is anticipated to be complete this year. A detailed design is anticipated to be complete in 2025. The timing of construction will be confirmed based on the preliminary and detailed design phases, the province says.
