Police are searching for woman who they believe is kayaking between Taber and Medicine Hat.

Lethbridge Police Service and the RCMP are looking for Aldea Margret Tillmans, 40, whose vehicle was located on Monday at a boat launch near Taber.

Police believe that she may be kayaking down the Oldman River and planning to camp along the way, but police are unaware of her whereabouts after August 12.

All landowners along the river between Grand Forks Campground and Medicine Hat are asked to check their properties for signs of the women.

Other campers and those using the river for recreational purposes are asked to be on the lookout for Tillmans.

At this time, there is no evidence to suggest foul play, but police are concerned for her well-being.

Tillmans’ kayak is described as a blue and white open top single person model with “Zaleska” written on the side. Her tent is orange with dark grey/black accents.

Anyone who has seen Tillmans or had contact with her, is asked to call 403-328-4444 or any police local agency.
