@MedicineHatNews Additional charges have been laid against a Medicine Hat man accused of attempted murder after a standoff with police this month. Cole Anthony Scory, 30, was charged with four counts of attempted murder with a firearm on Aug. 2 after police responded to an apartment building on the Southwest Hill. They allege a gunshot from inside a suite injured four officers who were in a hallway. Crown prosecutors were set to present a replacement set of charges on Thursday at Medicine Hat Provincial Court of Justice, but court was told that Scory – who was reportedly shot during the altercation – is still in Calgary hospital. Along with initial attempted murder charges and assault, a new information sheet would lay single charges of assault with a weapon, possessing, recklessly discharging and unlawfully using a dangerous weapon (a firearm) and two counts of pointing a firearm. 7
