news@medicinehatnews.com Members of Community Coming Together are hosting a student orientation for new high school students planning to attend Monsignor McCoy this September. The hour-and-a-half orientation will provide new students a chance to tour around the school and find their lockers, as well as take a look at their class schedules, helping to break the ice and avoid some day-one confusion. Community Coming Together, a mental wellness support project within the Medicine Hat Catholic School Division funded by AHS, will also host a Resource Fair during the orientation. “We will have community partners joining us in welcoming you back to school this year, along with fun carnival-style games, food and getting to know each other,” states an event release. Registration for the orientation on Aug. 28 is required, however there is no cost for attendance. There are five separate time slots available for an orientation beginning at 12:30 p.m. You can register online by visiting the Catholic school division’s website at mhcbe.ab.ca. 8
