The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is inviting residents outside of the city for a glimpse into more than 100 years of local history in the Town of Redcliff.

“This small town was once a hub for all kinds of industries until tragedy struck,” says park interpreter Hannah White. “Come along to learn the stories of this area and see how things have changed, or haven’t. We hope to see everyone there.”

The walk is free to attend, and will take place Aug. 17, starting at Memorial Park before journeying over to Parkside School.

White says the walk is anticipated to take between one and one and a half hours, and advises anyone interested in attending to dress for the weather and bring adequate water for the trek.

Attendees are asked to register by visiting the Nature Centre or calling at 403-529-6225, though there is no cap on participants.
