Highway lanes are partially blocked near Gull Lake, Sask., as crews clean up after a train derailment on Sunday morning.

RCMP say there were no injuries reported and no hazardous material spilled in the accident near Highway 37, about one mile east of the Gull Lake entrance to the town.

That occurred before 11 a.m. on July 21, according to the Saskatchewan Department of Highways, which has reduced the route to one lane alternating traffic to accommodate the cleanup. An update on Monday states the effort could take the remainder of the week.

Fire near Seven Persons

Fire fighting caused the partial closure and delays on Highway 3 near Seven Persons on Monday morning along with a localized power outage.

Cypress County emergency personal said the closure of one lane, near Range Road 65, was needed while crews attacked a fire. Traffic flow resumed at about noon, and power was restored in the afternoon.
